Introduction

Learn to speak modern Greek and develop your listening and speaking skills in these communicative friendly small classes. You will also learn to read and write Greek. Greek lessons are based on "Communicate In Greek 1".


What is the course about?

This course aims to give complete beginners their first exposure to the basic Greek alphabet, simple phrases and survival language and an introduction to the basic structure of the language.


What level is the course?

No previous knowledge of Greek required.


What will the course cover? (contents,themes,projects)

Units 1-8 of the textbook "Communicate In Greek 1", covering functions such as introductions, greetings, meeting people, talking about oneself.


What can I expect to achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to:

-use the Greek alphabet
-read and write simple phrases in Greek
-introduce yourself and talk about yourself
-Numbers and how to use them
-Ordering food and drink


How will I be taught?

We believe that small friendly groups is the best way to learn Greek. The emphasis will be on developing spoken Greek. However, students will learn the basic grammatical structure of the language.
Homework will be given after each lesson.
